Finished him, well nearly just need to finish off the base.

I think he has turned out better than the others so I will paint the rest of my guys by this method.  By the end i might be able to get one that's half decent :-). Took me bloody ages though!

Well i did a little painting on this guy last night, just added highlights really but i cant help feeling meh! when i look at it.

Probably down to lack in skill but also I think I need a new way to go about painting so I'm going to give this tutorial Painting Ultramarines from GW page. Later tonight i will have a go at painting this guy:

Going to have a go at carrying on with this guy tonight, I've put him a bit of damage across his eye, this is where he fell over when i was priming him, I didnt notice and he ended up with a smudge once he had dried so i decided to turn it into a little battle damage!

Hello and welcome to For the Emperor. About a year ago i bought Assault on black reach and still have not painted even half of the box (yeah im slow). So after not touching them for a while i decided to have another go.

I did start off painting the space marines as Blood Angels but because they didn't turn out too well I decided to go with Ultramarines. My painting is not the best but i am pretty much learning as I go ill post pictures of what I've done so far and post up any wip.

 

And not forgetting the green skins:

(one problem i do have is that my orks have acquired a layer of dust that i cant get off any tips on this?)
