Incoming!

Started the base coat on me Whirlwind, Rhino and land speeder. The Rhino was given to me by a nice bloke at my gaming club, so I stripped it with detol. I painted both the primer and base coat with an air brush. The first models I painted were all by hand. It took bloody ages!

They probably need another thin coat but I have run out of paint :S. 'Tis gaming night tonight though and I shall be picking some up.

Base in the place

Just a short post.

Fully finished the first assault centurion. Since starting this army I have numbered each marine under the base in hope that I see an improvement in the quality of the painting. Not sure if I have really improved but he is number 36.

Pretty happy with him. A few problems such as the small fist and assault squad icon aren't as neat as I would like. Couple of iffy bits here and there but will look good on the table top.

I am going to finish the rest of this squad as I have had them well over a month now.

Couple of bases prepping for the other 2 centurions. After a base of Rhinox hide I put Agrellan Earth and Armageddon Dust down and will leave until tomorrow to continue with them.

Didn't end up being that short that post I guess 😀

Centurion uno!

First centurion is almost complete. Just need to paint around the base in black then 'ard coat it along with the lens'

Imperial fists

This time round I have not bought a box set and decided just to start an army from scratch.

I chose the Imperial Fists. The colour first drew me to them but also I like the fluff behind them although admittedly I should ready up more on them.

Any way here is the fully painted force so far

I have left to paint:

Assault Centurions
Tactical Squad
Devastator Squad
Assault Terminators
Land Raider Crusader
Drop Pod
Bike Attack Squad
Whirlwind
Land Speeder
Land Speeder Storm
Rhino
Aegis Defence Line

And that's it I think. Next I shall continue with my centurions but I am currently in a friendly tournament which requires fully painted models which I'm adding the whirlwind and attack bike to.

(Crappy angle on the photo took it using my iPad)

Fists of glory!

Once again I emerge from the warp. Lost for a millennia the emperor himself foretold of the great day when I would once again grace this blog with my presence.

It's been a few years since I touched anything war hammer other than the odd Horus Heresy book. The urge came back to once again dive into 40k but this time I found a great gaming club near by so I'm actually playing the game now which is great.

So I decided to start up again. After selling up all my paints and troops previously I had nothing at all so it was a start from scratch.

What I'm going to do is bring the blog up to date. I have been cracking on with my army so got a fair bit to update!
